UK's Carphone Warehouse Gets Nexus 5 in Stock
Though we haven't heard a peep from Google, the Nexus 5 has already arrived at one retailer in the UK.
The Nexus 5 is supposed to be launching tomorrow and, despite the fact that Google has yet to make any announcements, it looks like retailers as well as carriers are busy prepping for the launch.
Pocket-Lint reports that the UK's Carphone Warehouse has just gotten a shipment of the phones. PL cites a trusted source with a proven track record in reporting the news. This person also reiterated rumors that an announcement from Google could be coming today.
The news follows the appearance of the Nexus 5 on a Canadian wireless carrier's Facebook page, and earlier this week, rumors pointed to a November 1 launch for the white version of the Nexus 5. Thanks to leaked specs from earlier this month, we already know that the Nexus 5 will pack a 4.95-inch 1,920 x 1,080 IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor (clocked to 2.3GHz), 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera with a 1.3-megapixel lens up front, the same OIS present on LG's G2, a 2300mAh battery, up to 32 GB of storage, and support for CDMA, GSM, WCDMA, and LTE. Canada's Wind Mobile's page confirmed the aforementioned specs on Tuesday and added that the phone will have ceramic power and volume buttons.
With no official announcement yet, there isn't much we can do but wait for word from Google.

quotas47 Does anyone know for certain if it has NFC or inductive charging integrated?Reply
I'm disappointed my Nexus7 2nd gen can't use Google Wallet due to a lack of security chip, and my S4 Active is forced to use ATT's app instead. -
therealduckofdeath It will have NFC, and just like the current Nexus 7 it won't have a security chip. Apparently this is to make NFC easier to adopt for 3rd parties. Google Wallet is apparently also coming to the Nexus 7 with KitKat. All according to Android Police.Reply
