The Nexus 5 is supposed to be launching tomorrow and, despite the fact that Google has yet to make any announcements, it looks like retailers as well as carriers are busy prepping for the launch.
Pocket-Lint reports that the UK's Carphone Warehouse has just gotten a shipment of the phones. PL cites a trusted source with a proven track record in reporting the news. This person also reiterated rumors that an announcement from Google could be coming today.
The news follows the appearance of the Nexus 5 on a Canadian wireless carrier's Facebook page, and earlier this week, rumors pointed to a November 1 launch for the white version of the Nexus 5. Thanks to leaked specs from earlier this month, we already know that the Nexus 5 will pack a 4.95-inch 1,920 x 1,080 IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor (clocked to 2.3GHz), 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera with a 1.3-megapixel lens up front, the same OIS present on LG's G2, a 2300mAh battery, up to 32 GB of storage, and support for CDMA, GSM, WCDMA, and LTE. Canada's Wind Mobile's page confirmed the aforementioned specs on Tuesday and added that the phone will have ceramic power and volume buttons.
With no official announcement yet, there isn't much we can do but wait for word from Google.
