OnePlus Reveals USB Type-C Connector On OnePlus Two Smartphone

It's no secret that OnePlus has an upcoming phone called the OnePlus Two. We don't know much about it yet, only that it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 and that it is coming in the hopefully not so distant future. The price has yet to be revealed, as have most of the specs, but OnePlus just tweeted out some details earlier today.

According to the company, the upcoming OnePlus Two will feature a USB Type-C connector. The company claimed that its new phone will be the first flagship smartphone to feature the new connector (which is something we've been eager to see). This could prove to be entirely true, considering no other smartphone OEM has made an announcement about USB Type-C that we're aware of, and it was only just this month that we saw one of the first tablets announced that support the new spec and sport the connector.

There is still no word on the release date of the OnePlus Two, but given the bold announcement, it shouldn't be long now.

Maybe just maybe all smart phones will move to power and connectivity via USB type-c. Would be nice to share power cables for Android and iphones. Once can dream I guess.

Considering the tiny market share of Windows OS on smartphones, that is somthing that a samll company cannot afford. Maybe a company like samsung that launches tens of news smnarphones every year can launch a few of them with Windows OS. But certainly not a company that has a single phone in the market, and is launching the second one.
