Final Analysis
The Das Keyboard Prime 13 looks like the company's more expensive keyboards, and it has similarly solid build quality. We like the aluminum top plate, and the overall package isn't too heavy. The completely standard layout makes swapping the keycaps easy, although, the shine-through keycaps are ideally designed for the in-switch LED placement, so if you add a replacement set, you may diminish the careful backlighting Das created.
The USB passthrough hub is a cool extra, but it's increasingly useless without support for USB 3.0. The lack of physical media controls despite all the extra surface area in the "Das bump" is also a bummer. Even so, it's priced reasonably at $129, and Das has an excellent three-year warranty, whereas you’ll find only a one-year warranty on many other keyboards.
