Basically, KT400 differs from its predecessor, VIA KT333, in both, its Northbridge and its Southbridge. The Northbridge KT400 includes changes such as a memory controller for 200 MHz memory clock (DDR400 support), as well as support for AGP 8x with modern graphics cards. There are also new features in the Southbridge VT8235: aside from the very first integration of USB 2.0, there is also Ultra DMA/133, for a total of four IDE channels.
