Nvidia GeForce GTX 260/280 Review
Unreal Tournament 3
The duel at the summit is still worth analyzing in Unreal Tournament 3. If results at 1920*1200 are any indication, once again the 9800 GX2 would have made a dark-horse showing at 2560*1600. Unfortunately, the card’s limited memory rules out playing this game with the filters, while the GTX 280 could handle it and remain fluid, which gave it the top score for this game. The card’s average lead over the older generation, the 9800 GTX, was 59%. The GTX 260 held up well, scoring approximately 83% of the performance of the GTX 280 at three of the four resolutions, which gives it an excellent performance/price ratio, as we’ll see.
