By - Source: Twitter

Device will be revealed at Unpacked event.

Samsung has announced that it will officially reveal the Galaxy S4 on March 14, during an Unpacked event.

The date, which has been heavily rumored recently, was tweeted by Samsung that showcased an invitation confirming the event titled "Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 1."

The tweet adds that the South Korean technology company wants fans to "come and meet the next Galaxy." It also teases the smartphone with the numeral 4: "Ready 4 the show." The event will take place in New York on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. ET. It will be live streamed on Samsung Mobile's YouTube page.

Samsung has confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S4, saying it will launch by May at the earliest. The device itself will likely feature the world's first mobile eight-core processor (manufactured by Samsung), accompanied by a 4.99-inch 1080p screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 was previously showcased in an alleged official press shot, while a Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Watch will debut alongside the Galaxy S3's successor.

redeemerI just hope Samsung does away with the cheap shiny plastics and AMOLED!

Why do you want them to do away with AMOLED? It's one of the nicest screen technologies in existence at the moment, and one of the main reasons I'm likely to get an S4.

Waiting on the Galaxy Note 3 later this year, will be a monster and the S4's bigger brother.

The question is more which AMOLED you compare to which LCD screen. And it's probably also got a lot to do with personal opinion. In my eyes the Super AMOLED in the S3 is very clearly ahead of Super LCD used in the iPhone 5. Also in daylight conditions although both technologies have difficulties with that condition.

It's actually 2 quad cores. One for performance, one for power savings. They can be used at the same time, but that isn't really point.

No way... I don't think anything can top this S4. Samsung rulez. I'm spooging in my pants thinking about it. Apple might as well shut their doors down.

An 8 core smartphone is total waste no matter how they try to spin it. Why get the S4...the S5 will be out for Christmas I'm sure..lol
