Alienware announces FX-60 dual-core system

Alienware today announced gaming computers equipped with AMD's FX-60 processor. The company offers the CPU both in its Aurora 7500 and ALX series of systems. Prices start at around $2700 for a basic Aurora system and top $8000 for decked out ALX model.

The base model arrives with a single GeForce 7800 GT graphics card, 1 GB of memory, an 80 GB hard drive, integrated sound and a DVD-ROM drive. If budget is no concern, Alienware allows the system to be equipped with up to 1.5 TB storage space, 4 GB of system memory, dual GeForce 7800 GTX graphics cards, Lightscribe DVD burners, and high end sound cards.

According to Alienware's website, the Aurora systems will be available for delivery on January 24, the ALX systems will follow on January 30.
