Alphacool, one of the leading water cooling component manufacturers, has announced the launch of two new options for HardTube liquid cooling tubing. The company has introduced UV reactive plexi and solid carbon rigid tubing.
Alphacool’s new UV reactive HardTubes are clear under standard light, but when ultraviolet light is applied, the plexi glows blue. Alphacool said the effect magnifies as the UV source is moved closer to the tubing, and the effect can be made even more brilliant if UV reactive fluid is used in conjunction. The company said that because the tubing is clear under normal light, your loop can be configured with two separate colors, one for daytime, and one for when the room is dark.
Alphacool also announced the release of a unique new tubing style. The company has created a line of carbon HardTubes that have a satin black finish.
Both styles of HardTube are available now in four different lengths. Alphacool offers precut 20 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm and 80 cm tubes. Prices vary from $2.07 for a single 20 cm UV tube to $13.98 for a single 80 cm carbon tube. Alphacool is offering the carbon tubes only individually, but you can buy four packs of the UV tubes, which range from $11.90 for 20 cm tubes to $18.45 for 80 cm tubes.
It’s important to note that the fittings for these two styles of HardTube are not interchangeable. The outer diameter of the UV plexi tubing is 13 mm, whereas the carbon HardTube is slightly narrower at 12 mm. For this reason, Alphacool has also launched two varieties of fittings for the carbon HardTubes. The fittings are available in black and silver, and the company is charging $5.67 for both styles.
