AMD will expand the roadmap for its 65nm-made Athlon 64 X2 CPU portfolio (codenamed Brisbane), with the series lineup adjusted to feature processor clock speeds differentiated by 100 MHz, instead of the 200 MHz, according to motherboard makers.
The adjusted clock speeds will be for parts including the Athlon 64 X2 4000+ (2.1 GHz), Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (2.3 GHz) and Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (2.5 GHz), respectively, with the clock speeds splitting the difference between the 90nm existing models - Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and 4000+ (2.0 GHz), Athlon 64 X2 4200+ and 4400+ (2.2 GHz) and Athlon 64 X2 4600+ and 4800+ (2.4 GHz).
