At SIGGRAPH 2013 in Anaheim, Faceware Technologies publicly debuted Faceware Live, their software for markerless real-time facial motion capture.
Faceware Live requires no markers and can use any video source (or camera) to do its capture. IT is designed so that any animator can use it for facial motion capture from their own workstation, it can be deployed live on set to capture an actor's performance during filming, or it can be used for interactive experiences involving real-time characters. After the simple calibration procedure seen in the video, it quickly captures the facial motion and streams it right into Autodesk Motionbuilder. Faceware Technologies plans support for other programs and game engines in the near future.
