Gigabyte Goes DDR2-1066
Gigabyte's 955X top model is capable of running memory at DDR2-1066 speeds.
There is always a race between the large motherboard makers to come out with products that are highly overclockable. Gigabyte's GA-8I955X Royal turned out to be one of these outstanding products.
It is equipped with Intel's latest high-end desktop 955X chipset, capable of supporting DDR2-667 and FSB1066. However, the chipset has all the necessary memory multipliers to activate this fastest memory mode. In addition, the board is heavily equipped with everything an enthusiast dreams of.
