Even if this isn't a issue to the gamer the fact that they make Samus from a strong character to extremely submissive to a single other person should bother any Metroid fan out there. It is so bad that she won't even use her abilities until she is told to by the guy, as if shes not only stupid but so enslaved by his will alone that she refuses to do them until told.

    The games ending may as well just had her bringing him back a sandwich.
