With production of widescreen panels giving Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) a boost in its profits last quarter, second-tier Taiwan-based panel makers are now eyeing the segment, according to market sources.
Among Taiwan-based TFT LCD panel makers, Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) is the only producer of 19" LCD widescreen panels.
