CONTEST: Win a $100 Newegg Gift Card

We've been told that entering the Geek Dictionary contest means you're in with a chance to win lifelong fame and moderate fortune. We're not so sure about that first one, but if you consider a $100 Newegg gift card moderate fortune then we're all on the same page here.

Three entrants will receive a $100 Newegg gift card so we're running this contest over three weeks. Week one begins today and runs through until next Wednesday (July 23 to July 29). Week two is July 30 to August 5 and week 3 is August 6 to August 12. One winner will be selected for each week the contest runs. All you have to do it submit useful definitions to the Geek Dictionary. The users with the most votes for their submissions will win. Easy peasy, right? Right.

So what are you waiting for? Start cranking out helpful definitions for all the newbies that are frequenting Tom's Hardware but don't understand a single, solitary word of what we say here.

Be sure to check out the contest rules before you enter.

aw. i would have gone for it if the chances to win were calculated by how many upvoted definitions a person entered, divided by the total amount of upvoted definitions entered.

they would get more results that way too. i just dont have it in me to be the 1st 2nd or 3rd.. you know thats only going to the most hardcore of hardcore.

schmegma = that speacial sweat you get when working with computer parts: the sweat produced from the excitment of building a new computer or adding upgrade parts: the sweat produced when gaming too long leaving you unable to grip your controller

but honestly this contest is a favorites thing, and noobs can look up terms freely...what we need is a contest for new terms

So all I have to do is rig the contest by getting 50 of my friends to vote for my submission? Sweet, now I just need 50 friends.

I'm not nearly apprehensive and tactless enough to make a witty remark in a form of a definition.
