Patriot Cranks Out Exclusive Hawken Bundle
Patriot is paring its Supersonic Rage XT drive with 7 days of Double XP Boost for Hawken.
Hot on the heels of E3 2013, Patriot said on Monday that it has scored an exclusive partnership with Meteor Entertainment to launch a promotional bundle containing a 64 GB USB 3.0 Supersonic RAGE XT flash drive and a 7-day Double XP Boost for the popular free-to-play multiplayer mech game Hawken. The game originally launched on December 12, 2012 as an open beta.
"Providing the enhanced transfer speeds of USB 3.0 in an extra tough rubberized housing, the Patriot Supersonic Rage XT is the perfect solution for those looking for a compact design that doesn’t compromise performance," the company said. "The Supersonic Rage XT comes with a custom slide to connect design that provides best in class protection from wear and tear."
The Supersonic RAGE XT flash drive features a rubber coated, slide-to-connect housing, high transfer speeds of up to 180 MB/s read and 50 MB/s write, plug and play compatibility, and a five year warranty. It's also compatible with USB 2.0, so no worries about missing out on the bundle if you don't have a USB 3.0 port.
"Patriot is creating gamer-focused technology that makes our game look great and play at high frame rates, two things that our audience demands," said Paul Loynd, Producer, Hawken. "Combining an XP boost with the Rage XT drive means that not only will new HAWKEN pilots level up more quickly, but they’ll also be in the game and playing that much faster."
The Patriot Supersonic RAGE XT 64 GB Hawken bundle is now available in the U.S. exclusively at Newegg for $59.99. European availability will be in late June.

alidan well... its a nice deal on a fast flash drive...Reply
hawken is a bit unnecessary, but it also gets people to try it, not bad. -
velosteraptor XP on hawken feels pretty useless after a few levels. Id rather have 7 days of double moneys. stuff is expensive!Reply -
somebodyspecial Somebody please explain what a flash drive does for ANY game? It improves nothing IN GAME. Double XP has nothing to do with performance of a flash drive (heck I'm guessing nobody ever plugs a flash drive in while playing...LOL).Reply
But hey, whatever promotes your game or product I guess...LOL. -

either they are teaming up with hawken makers or hawken makers are teaming up with them to either promote the thumb drive, or the game.
its a good drive, so a bit of attention isn't bad.
you buy it, you get extra exp if you already have the game
or maybe it makes you want to try the game
exposure is exposure. -
