Logitech Launches Neat Solar-Powered Keyboard

If you use a wireless keyboard or mouse, you probably know that the most cost efficient way to keep things running smoothly is to invest in a couple of sets of rechargebale batteries and a wall charger. Even with this set-up the constant switching out of AAs can be annoying. Luckily, Logitech has turned its attention away from Google TV to address this little drawback and will this month release a solar-powered keyboard.

With laptop-style chiclet keys and measuring just 1/3 of an inch thick, the K750 is pretty slick regardless of the fact that it's solar powered. Still, solar-powered it is and that's obviously the feature Logitech is pushing here, especially considering the fact that the two solar panels charge the keyboard using ambient light. Yes, you read that right. No sitting in a green house required to charge this device. Not only that, but Logitech is claiming that this thing can run for at least three months in total darkness.

Available this month for $80, the K750 specs page lists Windows XP, Vista or 7 as the only the requirements (aside from a light source), so Mac users will have to look elsewhere for a solar-powered keyboard.
