Valve has launched its beloved yearly Steam Holiday Sale where many titles will be crazy cheap until after the New Year. As always, there will be huge savings throughout the store, with daily deals, flash sales, and catalog discounts. Additionally, every twelve hours there will be a chance for gamers to vote on a select game to go on sale.
"This year, we've taken some of the guesswork out of when your favorite games will be on sale," Valve said on Thursday. "You may now organize your Steam Wishlist and be notified via Steam Mobile and/or email when a game from the list goes on sale as a Daily Deal. The Steam Mobile App is available for both iOS and Android."
For starters, Thursday's Daily Deal includes Mirror's Edge for $4.99 (was $19.99), the Hitman franchise for 50- to 75-percent off each, the Borderlands franchise for 50- to 75-percent off each, the Prince of Persia franchise for 75-percent off each, Scribblenauts Unlimited for $19.99 (was $29.99) and Wargame: European Escalation for $9.99 (was $39.99).
More specifically, those looking to purchase Borderlands 2 will get 50-percent off the original price, paying $29.99 (the 4-pack is $89.99 in case you're in a giving mood). Hitman: Absolution Professional Edition is $29.99 (was $59.99), and the Prince of Persia Complete Pack featuring five games costs a mere $12.24 (was $48.99).
Steam's current flash sale includes War of the Roses for $14.99, Natural Selection 2 for $9.99, Batman: Arkham City GOTY Edition for $7.49, Fable 3 for $24.99, Operation Flashpoint Red River for $13.74, and Intrusion 2 for $3.39.
