White Water-Cooled GTX 770 HOF Ice in the Works at Galaxy

Galaxy, which introduced its GTX 770 Hall-of-Fame graphics card almost an entire year ago, is seemingly working on a water-cooled version of the graphics card, which will be known as the GTX 770 HOF ICE Edition.

Being an HOF series graphics card, it is unsurprising that it will be white – very white. The water block pictured is white with brushed aluminum bits, and the PCB is most certainly going to be white, even though it can't be seen in the images. Furthermore, the water block will likely cover the GPU, memory and VRM circuitry. It'll also probably come with the standard G1/4" threads, so it'll fit in pretty much any loop.

No word on clock speeds for the card, though HOF cards almost always come with a factory overclock. Because this one comes with a water block, we can expect a fairly respectable factory overclock, though that's really just speculation.

Regardless, we do have one problem with this card, and that's not even a problem with the card itself. It has to do with the release time. Why only now? Isn't it a bit late?

No word on pricing or availability yet, though perhaps we'll be seeing more of it in a couple of weeks at Computex 2014.

    Anyone with uh....
    KKK jokes???

On a more serious note, I'd rather see a successor to the gtx670/gtx760 short circuit board GPUs.

For me this is a waste. Im still fine with my gtx 670. If anything at least throw this on a 780 or higher. I do like the white and brushed steel look though.

1| This card and block feature being released now is a little too late.
2| This would've been best explored on a GTX 780 HOF edition in the first place
3| Even if they are planning to launch the waterblock, imminently, I believe they are yet testing it out for implementation in their future HOF lineup of cards(much like Asus' Twin GTX 560Ti on one PCB idea) since they were in the works to do much more on their HOF series.
4| If this is eventually released I hope that "that" piece of brushed aluminium isn't making contact with the waterloop/liquid as that should lead to a horrible galvanic corrosion story.

Anyways this is a good move so far. No need to bug EK over their thinkcell page to get waterblocks - if this materializes.

At first I saw the title as "White Walker-Cooled GTX 770"

All that white plastic gives a really cheap look to me. Is it just me? Maybe it's the aluminum. Maybe it's just I'm not their targeted audience.
