Lenovo Releases S930 and S650 Smartphones

The first of the two, the S650, features a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540) display and runs on MediaTek's quad-core 6582 clocked to 1.3 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. Internal storage is 8 GB, expandable to 32 GB via MicroSD, and the camera is an 8-megapixel lens with auto focus and flash. The front-facing camera is a 0.3-megapixel affair. Battery is 2000 mAh. It features a laser-etched fabric feel on the back cover. Pricing is set at $220.

The S930 is larger, boasting a 6-inch (1280 x 720) display. It uses the same MediaTek 6582 CPU clocked to 1.3 MHz as its little brother and also has 1 GB of RAM. The rear-facing camera is also the same 8-megapixel lens, but the front-facing camera has been upgraded to 1.6-megapixels. There's also dual front-facing speakers. Aside from the display and the audio, the battery is one of the biggest differences, with the S930 carrying a 3000 mAh pack. Pricing starts at $320.

Both devices are available immediately in countries where Lenovo smartphones are already being sold. Stay tuned for our hands on at CES 2014.

An old Nexus 4 is better than the S930 and you can get it for $200 on ebay.
