Multiplayer for CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 Confirmed, Possibility for Witcher 3
CD Projekt discusses multiplayer for its upcoming titles.
The trailers that CD ProjektRED's recently shown off of its newest IP Cyberpunk 2077 has left gamers, fans of the cyberpunk genre or not, salivating. The prospect of a highly ambitious open world cyberpunk game is attractive, especially since CD ProjektRED's endeavors with its videogame adaptations of The Witcher have been so technologically and narratively impressive.
In a recent interview with Eurogamer, CD ProjektRED managing director Adam Badowski discussed multiplayer for its upcoming projects. Badowski explained that though Cyberpunk 2077 "will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we're going to add multiplayer features." Multiplayer fits well with Cyberpunk 2077, as there won't be any sort of pre-defined hero like with The Witcher 3's Geralt. Unfortunately, Badowski didn't go into further detail as to what the multiplayer will feature.
As for The Witcher 3, Badowski only teased, "We're thinking about something."

I kind of hope that TW3 doesn't have multiplayer, as I'd much rather that they focus on the singleplayer. There are plenty of other games I can play if I want to hear children screaming through microphones.
LAN IS the real news!
