MSI W8 Gaming Mouse Available Now, No Waiting Required

MSI has built a new gaming mouse – the W8. It is unusual for MSI to make peripherals, though we've seen them pop up here and there, including two in the form of mechanical keyboards.

The new W8 is a simple ambidextrous gaming mouse, though it is not perfectly symmetrical. Four of the programmable buttons reside on only the left side of the mouse. In total, the mouse has eight programmable buttons, the macros of which can be stored on the 128 KB of memory. The polling rate of the mouse is set to go up to 1000 Hz.

The mouse is built with a 5600 DPI sensor, which is perhaps not as much as high-end gaming mice, though most gamers probably won't even notice. You can also adjust the weight of the W8. Three of the included weights are 10 grams and one is 5 grams.

No official word on pricing yet, though it has been spotted on the streets for about $45. It is also available immediately, so you won't have to wait for the W8.
