Pioneer has the advantage in writing CD-R disks, as do its "minus" competitors. Thanks to a theoretical speed of 16x and an actual speed of 14.5x, it runs much faster than the "plus" writers with a speed of only 12x. Only Sony stands out from the crowd, with a theoretical speed of 24x and an actual speed of 16.1x!
