The BIOS menu is professional and clear.
Very typically, of course, practically anything can be done in the BIOS of the controller. But it's more convenient if you use the RAIDCore management software in Windows (see the screenshots on previous pages).

Whether and how the cache is enabled is set here.

The selection of RAID modes is wider than that of competitors. The N stands for any additional drives as mirrors.

A highlight of the RC4852: the distributed spare. Rather than having one drive as the replacement for another defective one, some memory is simply left open on all hard drives, so the RAID array is simply migrated onto fewer hard drives.
