AMD Radeon Software Crimson Update 16.4.2 Has More XConnect, Crossfire Profiles
AMD released its Radeon Software Crimson Edition version 16.4.2, which fixes a laundry list of known issues in addition to offering new Crossfire profiles for Need For Speed and Elite Dangerous. The patch also features full XConnect support for Thunderbolt 3 eGFX enclosures (such as the Razer Core) for Radeon R9 Fury, Nano and 300-series graphics cards.
AMD’s XConnect technology was introduced fairly recently, and at the time we were disappointed the supported GPUs seemed to include only the top tier of AMD graphics cards. The list doesn’t appear to have gotten longer with this update, but it did give XConnect a new integrated management interface and additional plug-and-play support.
The patch also resolves several random issues unrelated to the graphics dock updates, including a varying range of problems with Crossfire performance in The Division, DOTA2, Hitman, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the SteamVR Performance Test.
Some lingering issues are still on AMD’s to-do list, including launch failures or crashing with some games if the AMD Gaming Evolved overlay is enabled, HDMI scaling options, and an issue with the recently announced AMD Radeon Pro Duo where some users experience a system crash or hang after resuming from sleep or hibernate modes.
AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.2 is available now from the company’s website.

phase0ne I don't trust Crimson. Lost both an r9 290 and HD 7870 with Crimson enabled. Don't think there's anything wrong with my PSU or MOBO so..... I'm going over to Nvidia now.Reply -

Yeah, and then tested it with the *fix* just being a stuttering mess. Do you even have CF?
