Are those $80 headphones made entirely out of plastic? Why is making things out of plastic seem like some kind of trendy thing to do?

I looked at the Dell U3014 deal too. It kept rejecting my purchase until I chose the most expensive shipping for $69. And it added $50 tax. The $300 gift card comes later, you can only use it on certain items, and it expires quickly. Assuming the gift card order would also incur unreasonable shipping & tax, by the time its all done this special offer is barely an improvement over the every day Amazon price of $1,100 with no shipping (prime member) and no tax. Too bad, it briefly had me interested.

I thought the monitor was an awesome deal till I saw it was 300 off in the form of a gift card. Scan craigslist, thats what I did and found someone selling a barely used dell u3014 for 750 which I easily talked him down to 575 (than 515 when I saw the big scratch on the bezel, not the screen) after making up a story about having to drive 250 miles when I really was 20 miles away. The new dell as more benefits than just being high resolution. They HUGELY decreased the heat output coming off of it. The korean monitor it replaced was like a space heater compared to this thing. Dell did something magical with the backlight system and it draws MUCH MUCH less power and gives off practically no heat at all. That was the biggest selling point for me. My room gets hot enough as it is.
