Tom's Hardware has been covering the Immersed VR/AR conference in Toronto this week, including demos and the panel that our own Alex Davies moderated. We're continuing our coverage with Kevin Carbotte's interview with Guillaume Gouraud of Starbreeze Studios (below).
Starbreeze is responsible for the upstart StarVR HMD -- a device we could see competing with the marquee HMDs from Oculus and HTC, although the timeline for its release is a ways off -- as well as the Walking Dead demo. (Tl;dr, it involves zombies and a shotgun in an immersive VR environment.)
Kevin and Guillaume talk about the StarVR's impressive FOV, its high-res displays, working with Tobii on eye tracking, and the company's intense desire (and patience) for getting the whole thing right.
(Watch until the end to get a heads up on a possible chance to see the StarVR headset in action in the U.S.)
