Newegg bundle puts a bow on a Core Ultra 7 265K, 32GB of DDR5, and more for $610 — get most of a PC build for the price of 64GB of RAM

It's hard to recommend a new CPU or motherboard this Black Friday when the rising cost of DDR5 is looming over enthusiasts. But Newegg has a deal that cuts the cost of memory out of the equation, offering around $1,200 worth of gear, including a CPU, case, motherboard, and RAM for just $610.

Although there's a lot of good hardware here, including the Core Ultra 7 265K and ASRock Z890 Taichi, the star of the show is a 32GB kit of G.Skill Flare X5 memory. RAM prices have become so volatile that retailers have stopped showing prices in some cases. This bundle of multiple components costs about the same as what you would pay for 64GB of DDR5 RAM.

Intel Core Ultra 7 265K Bundle: was $940 now $610 at Newegg

There are plenty of motherboard/CPU combos on sale this Black Friday, but this bundle includes a coveted kit of DDR5-6000 memory and a case, too.

Getting essentially a free kit of memory is the highlight, but let's not gloss over the other hardware you're getting. Despite clocking in $200 less than the flagship Core Ultra 9 295K, the Core Ultra 7 265K is in lockstep with Intel's highest-end Arrow Lake offering in games. Arrow Lake hasn't been great for gamers in general, particularly in the face of AMD's X3D offerings like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but it still puts up a fight against AMD's vanilla Zen 5 chips.

On average, the Core Ultra 9 285K is a mere 4.4% ahead of the Core Ultra 7 265K, and that's at 1080p. As the resolution climbs, that gap will shrink, particularly in GPU-limited titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Monster Hunter Wilds. X3D chips still win the day for the highest possible frame rates, but in these titles, you're looking at a largely similar experience. The Core Ultra 7 265K (and Arrow Lake more broadly) really shows its weaknesses in titles that slam your CPU like Final Fantasy XIV and Starfield.

In addition to the Core Ultra 7 265K, you also get the ASRock Z890 Taichi, fit with PCIe 5.0 and Thunderbolt 4 support, DDR5 speeds up to 9,200 MT/s, and a 20+1+2+1+1 VRM design. The power design isn't as robust as what you get on the ASRock Taichi OCF if extreme overclocking is your game, but it features the same power design as the ASRock Taichi Lite, along with dual LAN ports, Wi-Fi 7, and a total of five PCIe 4.0 x4 slots for your SSDs.

Newegg also threw in a Montech X3 mesh case, which is fine, I suppose. Let's be honest, though, the case isn't really the selling point here.

Sweetening this already delectable pot of a deal are a series of free gifts that come along with the components. For the Taichi board, you get a free copy of Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition, which is normally $110. The Core Ultra 7 265K includes two freebies, as well: A copy of Battlefield 6 and the MSI MAG Coreliquid A15 240 mm all-in-one liquid cooler.

The kit alone is already a great deal, but the extra goodies really sell it. You can pick up this Intel Core Ultra 7 265K bundle for $610 at Newegg now.
