MSI's RTX 5070 GPU falls $50 below its MSRP launch price — grab one quickly via Walmart while stocks last
It's only been a couple of weeks since we left Black Friday and Cyber Monday in the rear view mirror, and although it wasn't the most amazing year I've seen for deals on tech, there were some deals to be had, and this year it was on graphics cards, certainly not on RAM. Hitting all-time lows in the sales, the RTX 5070 especially had some great prices popping up, and the good news is that after a lot of that stock ran out, there seems to be new stock available, although it does state "low supply". Today at Walmart, you can purchase the MSI Shadow 2X OC RTX 5070 12G for just $499, a solid $50 below its MSRP launch price, and way under what the cards were initially selling for.
The MSI RTX 5070 Shadow 2X OC features a compact dual-fan design with an all-black finish on the shroud. It is one of the smaller GPU designs, making it suitable for installation in small form factor builds and smaller PC cases. It packs 6,144 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR7 memory on a 192-bit bus, and reaches boost clock speeds of up to 2,557 MHz. The rated power draw of this card is up to 250W, so you don't need a giant power supply to run it.
A mid-tier entry for the 50-series lineup, the RTX 5070 12GB comes with enough VRAM to play your favourite games. PCIe 5, 6144 CUDA cores, and a triple-fan cooling setup.
With the below chart, you can see how the RTX 5070 compares against other GPUs in some of our games benchmarking tests, from 4K to 1080p Ultra settings. The RTX 5070 is a competent gaming card that holds the mid-tier position in the stack and performs exceptionally well in the 1440p sweetspot. Pairing good framerates and smooth gameplay with high settings and graphical fidelity.
