My computer had 2gb of ram till a few months ago when I upgraded to 4gb :( This makes me feel like I am due for an upgrade. Even my cheap Chromebook has 2gb of ram which is actually faster than my desktop's ram.

Of course we could do a lot more with what we had back then. The old computers could do more than people today can even imagine on such crummy specs.

kinggremlinThe Galaxy SIII has 2GB of RAM and is over 6 months old.Yes, but that doesn't mean anything. More RAM means more drain on the battery for possible negligible performance increases. By this same logic, every single computer ever sold should have a faster processor / more RAM / larger HDD than any computer ever sold before it.

It must have a beefy battery unless they're willing to sacrifice battery life.
