Canon releases seven photo and all-in-one printers

While much of the country is baking in high summer temperatures, Canon is raining down printers - seven to be exact. All of the printers are in Canon's PIXMA line-up with three being photo printers and the remaining four being all-in-one printers. The new photo printers can print pictures that last up to 100 years, while the all-in-one printers can print up to 22 black and white pages per minute.

Canon's new iP6700D photo printer

The photo printer lineup consists of the Canon PIXMA iP6700D, PIXMA iP6310D and the PIXMA iP1700. The 6700D and 6310D are aimed at prosumer/professionals while the 1700 is aimed at the consumer. All three printers have an up to 4800 by 1200 dpi resolution along with a one minute 4" by 6" picture printing time. The professional 6000 series printers also have Canon's ChromaLife 100 system which prints pictures that can last up to 100 years, under ideal conditions.

The new PIXMA MP530, PIXMA MP460, PIXMA MP180 and PIXMA MP160 are Canon's new all-in-one printers aimed at both businesses and consumers. All can print black and white pages at up to 22 pages/min. The printers can also print photos, but do not have the ChromaLife system.

The photo printers start at $50 for the iP1700 and top out at $200 for the IP6700. The all-in-one printers begin at $90 for the MP160 and go to $200 for the MP530.
