Hand-on With Acer's Clear.fi Media Streaming

Amidst all the talk of the Acer Iconia and the company's other extensive line of tablets in every size, the massive Taiwanese computer maker also was proud to show off its clear.fi technology.

The stars of the show were the new tablet products, but the majority of the floor space at the show was dedicated to demonstrating clear.fi.

Be sure to read Jane's hands-on take of it here first, and then check out the videos below for the demonstrations we got to see at the event itself.

It would be nice for my parents and people who don't want to bother with a home server. Overall, it is just a more accessible version of what many do already, so it is hard to get excited over.

I dunno how it could get easier than what's built into windows 7. I didn't setup a thing, just fired up my playstation 3 and all my music/video shows up on my networked playstation 3 and plays in my entertainment center.

Streaming video, another concern for cancerous wireless signals going through our bodies... As if Wifi and cellphone aren't enough, not to mention once the wifi signal is cracked someone else can view what you view without being spotted (just tapping off the source streaming it down on the screen).
