Corsair Announces the Force LS Series SSD

Corsair has unveiled its new range of LS Series SSDs which feature a 2.5-inch form factor, 7 mm thickness, Toshiba’s 19 nm NAND flash memory and, interestingly, use Phison SATA 6 Gb/s controllers instead of the LSI SandForce controllers utilized in the rest of the company’s SSD line-up.

The LS Series offers read and write speeds of 555 MB/s and 535 MB/s, support for TRIM, garbage collection, SMART functions, and features built-in dynamic and static wear-leveling algorithms.

The Corsair LS Series of SSDs are backed by a 3 year manufacturer warranty and will be available with capacities of 60 GB, 120 GB and 240 GB that retail for $69.99, $109.99 and $199.99, respectively.
