EKWB Outs Water Blocks For Asus' High-End Matrix GPUs

EKWB has finally introduced a long-awaited pair of water blocks: the EK-FC780 GTX Ti Matrix and the EK-FC R9-290X Matrix. These blocks are used for the GTX 780 Ti Matrix and the R9 290X Matrix cards from Asus.

EKWB has already built blocks for the GTX 780 Ti DirectCU II and R9 290X DirectCU II cards, but because these cards have a different PCB layout, those blocks won't work.

The water blocks have a partial cover design, but will still cover the GPU, memory, and VRM circuitry. They will also feature a high-flow design, meaning that they can be used in systems with weaker pumps, or in longer, more complex loops.

Both of the blocks will be available in two types: either nickel-plated with an Acetal top; or nickel-plated with an acrylic top, allowing the fluid to be visible. The Acetal variant will cost $158.71, while the acrylic version will set you back $156.98. Backplates are also available for $47.73. All of the parts can be ordered immediately from the EKWB webshop.

So ugly. I wish they would learn to cover the full PCB.

And then get two cards and water blocks for SLI/XFire?
There really is a market for this? It feels like I live on a whole other planet..
