IO Interactive Plans Two More Seasons Of 'Hitman'

With the new Hitman, IO Interactive decided to give the game a different touch with new locations, or episodes, arriving once a month over the course of the year. In a few months, the first “season” of Hitman will wrap up with six episodes (including a bonus episode). However, the developers want to add even more content with additional seasons.

According to a tweet, the developers planned for two more seasons for the game. However, the second season isn’t confirmed yet. At the moment, the developers are still working on three more episodes for season one. The next episode, which includes the new Thailand locale, arrives on August 16. Upcoming locations include the United States and Japan.

As far as the second season and third seasons are concerned, we can only speculate about the amount of content for each installment. The current plan for this season is comprised of six episodes, Contracts Mode, Escalation Mode and the difficult Elusive Targets. So far, that formula seems to work. However, the plans could change with seasons two or three. There could be fewer (or more) episodes in each season, or IO Interactive might add more content in between episodes to keep you busy.

It’s also worth noting that the game doesn’t have a traditional season pass. You can opt to buy each episode individually, purchase the Intro Pack with an optional upgrade to the entire season, or get the Full Experience, which grants access to all of the content for this season. In the event that the second and third seasons of Hitman are confirmed, it’s likely that the purchase model will stay the same for future content.

AdBlock stopped working on a lot of this website. So, I guess I'm just not visiting Tom's anymore until that gets sorted.
