Radeon R9, R7 to Prompt Nvidia Price Cuts and New Cards?

AMD's new graphics cards aren't due out until later this month, but already Nvidia is feeling the heat. According to the latest scuttlebutt from DigiTimes, the company may not only introduce a couple of new GeForce GTX SKUs but also cut prices on existing GPUs.

DigiTimes reports that Nvidia could introduce one or two sub-$250 SKUs in order to better compete with AMD and they could be based on its GK104 and GK105 silicons. Prices are tipped at $150 to $250. Nvidia may also cut prices across its entire lineup, including the GTX 770 and 760 and possibly the the 780 and wallet-crushing Titan. If all of this comes to fruition, our next installment of Best Graphics Cards for the Money could be very interesting indeed.

AMD unveiled its new Radeon R9 290X last week in Hawaii, describing the R9 and R7 series as 'the new GPUs for a new era in graphics.'
