LG Optimus G2 Rumored for Fall 2013 Launch

After failing to make an appearance during CES 2013 despite hints from LG that suggested otherwise, the Optimus G2 is now rumored for a fall 2013 launch.

Speculation has suggested that the unannounced follow up to the smartphone is reportedly set for a debut around the time the original approaches the one-year anniversary mark.

The Optimus G2 is expected to sport a full 1080p HD 5-inch display, with a reveal expected to be made during the Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona. LG is rumored to be preparing a reveal for a 5.5-inch, quad-core device during the event.

During its CES 2013 press conference, LG said the handset manufacturer will be unveiling a 'tier one' smartphone at MWC in February.

One potential reason LG has yet to launch the Optimus G2 is that it prefers to make a handset available with the latest version of Android. If past reveal events are of any indication, Google will announce the next version of its mobile platform during the latter stages of May.

These 5 inch 1080p phones seem great, but a lot of them are really lacking in the battery department. 3000mAh should be the minimum. Not around the 2000mAh mark.

Since being told they would update the OS to my LG Thrill 2 different times and didn't. I don't really care what LG releases. I bought a GS3 instead and glad I did. Won't make that mistake again.
