TCL CSOT, the company's display division, showed off some fascinating new products and concepts at MWC 2026, but they were mostly tied to smaller form factors. At the same time, TCL also launched two new monitors in China — a Mini-LED panel and an OLED — and one of them is already on sale in the region. Both of them support dual-mode capabilities.

Whoa! Are we really already at 1khz? Mind blown! Even if it's only 720p, that's quite unbelievable

I am pretty sure there were non-commercial screens or projectors from a while ago (many years) that hit 1000hz, they just were not products that could be bought.

    I'm Genuinely curios.
If the ultimate goal is 1000Hz, but with black frame insertion every other frame to reduce blur, why not make the panel driver do it?

The data port is limiting factor for 1440p/1000Hz , so what is the difference if the panel controller adds the black frames?
GPU Rendered frames at 500Hz + panel controller added BFI at 500Hz = 1000Hz, is it not?
