Optimus 4X HD and L7 are Primed for Jelly Bean Update

LG has officially confirmed that it is planning to release a Jelly Bean update for the Optimus 4X HD and Optimus L7. It also said that it will push Android 4.1.2 only to the devices that are unlocked. This is probably due to carriers wanting to approve the update for the phones they sell under contract.

The changes in the update are focused on making Google Now available as well as optimizing the user interface of Project Butter. Additional improvements include faster NFC (Near Field Communication) transmission rates for Android Beam 2.0, support for WPS and expandable notifications.

The update will roll out nearer to the end of March, with users being able to use LG's mobile Support-Tool to update their device. For those who have the gift of understanding the German language can check out the source here.

Finally got the 4.1 update on my Optimus G. LG is so slow with distributing their updates to providers (and also, providers are slow to push updates to users). It's absurd.

It has always been advertised that the LG L7 would get the 4.1.2 update at the end of March. And it's March 30th already with the update NOWHERE in sight at all. I have checked every hour during the day today and yet it seems that LG came out with another no show or DELAY in yet another Android OS. Just shows that Samsung and there phones and company are far more superior than the rest. Looks like it's time to get out of LG's BS and go for the most reliable side which is Samsung!
