Sandra Whestone iSSE2 gets winning performance from the old P35 board, and again the GA-X38-DQ6's high overclock puts it in its rightful place.

Asus' tiny 0.2% default-speed overclock continues to put its Maximum Formula in the lead for Sandra Multimedia...until Gigabyte's X38-DQ6 punishes it at the processor's maximum speed.

A higher FSB clock means a higher corresponding memory speed, so Gigabyte's X38-DQ6 wins when overclocked. The surprise here is that the old P35 comparison board cleans up at default clocks.

What happened to this motherboard? I don't see it for sale at places like tigerdirect. Newegg say it's discontinued. Has it been replaced by a newer model or something?
