UK Department Store to Get BlackBerry Q10 Early

UK department store Selfridges has just thrown up an order page for BlackBerry's new Q10, which it will apparently be shipping on Friday. BlackBerry UK announced the news via its Twitter page, posting a link to Selfridges' website. Only Selfridges will have the Q10 over the weekend, as tweets from BlackBerry have confirmed that the store has exclusivity over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Carphone Warehouse currently lists a ship date of April 30 for Q10 orders, while Phones4u says order today for delivery in four to five weeks (yikes). Vodafone has the Q10 up for pre-order but lists no delivery date. O2 has the release date listed as April 29.

Diehard Blackberry fans have been waiting for the first Blackberry 10 device with a hardware keyboard for months. Announced at the same time as the Z10, the Q10 will be the first traditional Blackberry running the company's brand new BB10 operating system and packs a 3.1-inch 720x720 Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 16 GB of storage (plus support for microSD) and that all important hardware QWERTY keyboard.

Selfridges has the Q10 priced at £579.99, but a contract will surely lower that price.
