The iPad 3 (or iPad 2S) launch is just a couple of days away, but you don't have to wait until Wednesday to catch a glimpse of Apple's newest tablet. The folks over at MIC Gadget have gotten their hands on a back and front casing for the iPad 3 as well as some third party cases and dock connector. Check some of them out below:
If these pictures aren't enough for you, MIC Gadget also decided to put the parts together on video so we can see every inch of these components for ourselves. You'll notice that the camera lens is a bit bigger than on the iPad 2, which is one of the only visible differences between this and the last generation iPad. In addition to the changes to the camera, the new iPad is said to be just a smidgen thicker than the iPad 2, and features a slightly more tapered design. It's also said to have a retina display, and improved graphics, but you won't see any evidence of that in this video.
The good news is, despite being a little bit thicker, this iPad will still be compatible with the iPad 2's smart cases. That alone should tell you how minimal the difference in thickness and design is. Check the video, complete with funky music, below:
