The CR1080 features a sleek steel frame with plastic panels and an inverted design, with the window facing the right side of the chassis. It sports dual compartments; one houses the motherboard and its attached components, which are displayed prominently through the clear plastic side panel, and the other section hides the storage and PSU. The segregated components and the CR1080’s cable routing and mounting points keeps the focus on the parts in the window while ostensibly also offering improved airflow.
Although the bottom and front fan mounts are dual 120 mm, the CR1080 officially supports only up to a single 120 mm liquid-cooling radiator on the front intake. Installing an additional radiator or a 240 mm radiator wouldn't fit with any full-length GPUs, although it may be possible to fit such a water cooling setup into the CR1080 if you use short graphics cards. The storage bay also has an 80 mm fan mount that can provide additional cooling to the two 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays and the stand-alone 2.5-inch bay.
In addition to supporting full-size ATX motherboards, the CR1080 can house power supplies up to 240 mm in length and graphics cards up to 300 mm. With seven PCI-e expansion slots, you can even configure a system with multiple-GPUs, and a dedicated intake for the graphics cards ensure you can properly cool such a configuration in this tiny chassis.
The Riotoro CR1080 is available now at Amazon (opens in new tab) for $79.99.
