Welcome The Latecomer: Pentium 4 Prescott 3.4 GHz
New Stepping
According to Intel, the latest stepping will enable faster clock speeds through power optimizations. Yet the TDP of the new processor does not change and remains at 103 W max. While this seems to be an improvement over the 3.2 GHz version, the CPU's cooling performance is still not commensurate with its clockspeed. Particularly in Europe, users are inclined to reflect on the huge thermal loss when selecting a processor.
CPU-Z properly identifies the new Pentium 4 processor, Model 3, Stepping 3 (CPUID 0F34h), which is still C0 stepping.
The new CPU gets slightly hotter.
