Intel and Acer have announced a new Atom-powered Android smartphone dubbed the Liquid C1. The device will utilize Intel’s latest mobile Intel Atom Z2420 chipset -- codenamed Lexington -- clocked at 1.2GHz.
It sports a 4.3-inch qHD screen and a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. An 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus is accompanied by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It'll support HSPA+ 3G, as well as boasting a battery that lasts for nine hours of 3G talk.
The Liquid C1 will retail for 9,990 baht, which is around $335. It'll be available sometime this month in Thailand, with a launch in other South Asian countries following. No details for a North American launch just yet.
Acer also announced the Liquid E1 smartphone, a mid-range handset powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor.
