UK's Everything Everywhere Might Get Lumia 920 Exclusive

The UK's Everything Everywhere is already lined up to be the first mobile carrier with a 4G LTE network. However, it seems the company may have an exclusive on something else LTE as well. According to the Financial Times, Nokia's newly announced Lumia 920 may be an Everything Everywhere exclusive device when it launches later this year.

The Financial Times reports that Everything Everywhere is in talks with Nokia to win exclusive rights to the Windows phone. Set to hit later this year (possibly in November), the device is Nokia's flagship Windows Phone 8 handset and was announced last week alongside the Lumia 820.

It's not yet clear as to whether this exclusive would be ongoing or just for a specific period after launch. Additionally, we don't know if the device will end up on T-Mobile or Orange (both are owned by Everything Everywhere). However, there's a distinct possibility that it will end up on a completely new service. Last month, Everything Everywhere got approval from Ofcom to launch its own 4G LTE network. Not long after, Everything Everywhere revealed plans to launch a completely new brand. This brand will not replace the already established T-Mobile or Orange brands. Instead, it will exist along side the two.

The Lumia 920 boasts a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 CPU, a 4.5-inch LCD display, NFC, an 8-megapixel camera with PureView technology, and 4G LTE. The phone is expected to launch at the same time as Windows Phone 8. The mobile operating system is scheduled for launch just after Windows 8 goes to retail on October 26.

I'd be very surprised if they launched it in India this year. At best the US, most of Europe and some carriers in China might get it..

I'm surprised so many people ask about price. Price is always 100-200 bucks plus 2 years contract, or if you want it without contract than price is always "a leg". This is the smartphone rule.

Anyway, that's gonna be my next phone, and my first true smartphone, word.

Too bad for nokia, the ATIV S might just end up selling really well here.
