On Monday MSI introduced the GX60, a gaming laptop powered by AMD's quad-core "Trinity" A10 APU and Radeon HD 7970M graphics. The company says it's the ideal choice for gamers looking for a high-performance yet affordable mobile solution.
“MSI spared no bells and whistles in creating the GX60, packing it with cutting-edge components including the latest AMD processor,” said Andy Tung, vice president of sales for MSI US. “MSI is committed to the gaming community and we believe that exceptional performance leads to unparalleled gaming experience.”
According to the spec list, this new laptop sports a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-reflection display, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz, a 7200RPM 750 GB HDD, a Blue-ray reader, a 7-in-1 card reader, and a Steel Series chicklet keyboard (102 keys). The A10 APU clocks between 2.3 GHz and 3.2 GHz, and the GPU uses 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM.
The specs also show that the laptop features Killer E2200 Game Networking, 802.11n wireless connectivity, and a host of ports including three USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4, and several audio jacks. There are also four THX 2W speakers, a subwoofer, and a 720p HD webcam to show everyone your victory finger after winning the online deathmatch.
