BlackBerry Z30 to Launch in UK Next Week

BlackBerry on Wednesday announced the fourth addition to its BlackBerry 10 line of smartphones, the Z30. While the company hasn't offered any specific launch time frame for the device in North America, it seems the UK will be the first to get the phone. The Canadian phone maker said today that the Z30 would launch in the UK and the Middle East next week. Everyone else will have to wait until close to the holiday season.

The Z30 boasts a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.7 GHz CPU, quad-core graphics, stereo speakers, new antenna technology for better connectivity in low signal areas as well as a 2880 mAh battery, the biggest battery ever present in a BlackBerry device. BlackBerry is promising up to 25 hours of "mixed use"  with the battery life boosted by BlackBerry OS 10.2.

Aside from boosting the battery, BlackBerry 10.2 also features a new BlackBerry Priority Hub, which learns the conversations and people that are imortant to you and gives you instant access to those. There is also previews of messages you receive no matter what app you're in (with tap to read or dismiss and the ability to reply to BBMs without leaving the current app) and BlackBerry Natural Sound, which promises BBM Voice and Video will sound more natural and realistic.

UK carriers have yet to announce their intention to carry the phone but we'll keep you posted!

Nice phone, yeah its no quad core, but neither is the iPhone 5S. It's still lightning fast, and that battery... sweet. I like my Galaxy S3, but frig the battery goes quick... and my extended life battery makes it look like its pregnant.

Writing this on my Z10, the new BlackBerry 10 devices are freaking awesomeness. It's a shame so few no this,i blame BlackBerry marketing department. You have no idea how many people ask me what phone that is, and I tell.them a blackberry and they are in disbelief. Before bberry issue was the product, they've fixed that, now it's the marketing if they could get the mind share back, they would be in the game.
