Cougar Intros Performance and Budget White Edition Cases

COUGAR Volant

The high-performance Cougar Volant and affordable Cougar solution mid-tower cases have received a fresh new look, while improving air-flow and case management. The two cases feature COUGAR's hybrid honey-comb and mesh design, which allows for extreme ventilation. Luckily, both cases support up to eight case fans, which will help vent warm air and circulate cool air throughout the case. The case also features multiple different cut-outs for cable management, which in-turn will improve airflow.

On the backend of the cases you can expect to see two rubber grommets for water cooling builds, support for 7 PCIe slots, and the necessary cut-outs for a bottom-placed power supply unit. Additionally, COUGAR cases include an air filter underneath the power supply for smoother performance. Moving on to the front of the case, you can expect screwless drive installation and support for graphics cards up-to 12.5” in length.

No word yet on pricing for either model, but availability is expected to come around the holidays.

mortsmi7Aren't those the same case with a different front panel? Wonder what the price difference is?Same case other than the front panel look, access to the front 3.5" drive bay, and the "high performance" case has a top 3.5" hot swap dock built in (the black square on the top of the case in the picture). Newegg sells the black versions of these cases for $39 and $49 right now so the white versions should be about the same unless they market them as "Limited Snow Edition" or some nonsense and decide to tack on an extra $20 for no reason.

The basic case doesn't do much at the $39 price point in comparison to the NZXT Gamma. The $49 case is a much better deal with the hot swap dock built in as long as you don't mind the look of the front panel.
