EKWB Preps Water Block for Gigabyte GTX 780 Ti WindForce

EK Water Blocks has announced that it is working on a new water block; this time around it's one for the Gigabyte GTX 780 (Ti) WindForce 3X graphics card. The standard water block for the reference GTX 780 (Ti) won't work on this card as it features a non-reference PCB. The water block will be known as the EK-FC780 GTX WF3.

The water block has a full cover, and as such it'll cover the GPU, memory, and VRM circuitry, cooling all the critical components of the graphics card. It'll also feature a high-flow design, meaning that it can be used in systems with weaker pumps, or in longer, more complex loops.

There was no word on what the water block would cost, though as always we'd imagine that it'll come in a variety of flavors. EKWB has scheduled the EK-FC780 GTX WF3 to be released by the end of February 2014.

Why waterblock a Windforce? Seems like something only a very small amount of windforce owners would want to do. I'm very happy with my Windforce 7970 OC; I can barely get it over 60 Celsius under load as it is. .
