New SATA 6Gb/s, SAS, and PCIe Solutions from Super Talent

Super Talent Technology Corporation is stepping up its SSD performance in big ways with new PCIe, SATA, and SAS solutions.

The PCIe x8 RAIDDrive R2S loses the decorative cover of its previous incarnation to improve cooling, supporting up to four modules under a simplified shield for a combined capacity of 2TB and a 2.4GB/s maximum transfer rate.

Enthusiasts without the money for a PCIe RAID solution can still get a boost in drive performance with the updated TeraDrive, SATA III. A SandForce 25xx controller rings-in the SATA 6Gb/s standard while giving the IC’s some breathing room at 500MB/s.

An SAS version of the new TeraDrive is also available at capacities up to 480GB.

Super Talent started out terribly with SSD's!
Nowadays their products may be between all the other, perhaps overwhelming by the size, their performance is rather limited compared to competing products of competing brands.

Although, not for everyone does it matter if the SSD saves your 52kB word document at 250MB/S or 512MB/s on the drive.

    SandForce 2xxx ftw!
The Intel G3 doesn't have anything on this, except for hopefully price

I'm more interested in pricing. If it follows OCZ's Revodrive Pricing, I'd expect that PCI 8x to run about 500$ at least.

Capacities are getting up to where HDD's are, now the price has to come down. maybe next 10 years SDD will be cheaper to manufacture than HDD
